vandroid-helsing: end0skeletal: A completely white Swedish moose recently gained celebrity status after a local politician captured video footage of it wandering through the water in the Värmland region in the south west part of Sweden (top gif). Despite the moose’s all-white appearance, it is not a case of albinism. Moose with bright white fur more commonly obtain this feature from a recessive gene that causes the animal to grow white with specks of brown—a condition referred to as piebald. There are an estimated 100 white moose in Sweden, compared to 400,000 with the traditional brown fur. White moose have also been spotted in Alaska, Norway and Canada. In Canada, hunters are prohibited from killing moose that are more than 50 percent white. In June of 2017, a pair of white moose twins were filmed in Norway: (x x x x) I feel as if I’m looking at something I should not. As if I need to avert my eyes, bless myself, wait for it to pass. As if, were I physically present there, I would not hear the white moose, only the breeze and a faint, rising drone somewhere in my spine. As if my face would tingle as it walked in front of me. As if my vision would go dark. As if once it passed into the forest I would fall over, retching, and be found two days later stumbling along the roadside, my face and neck scored with red from my own fingernails.

humansofminneapolis: “I’m from Laos. My husband was a respected Hmong leader. He fought against the Vietnamese army alongside the Americans. I was a soldier too, for three years, until I got pregnant. There was so much bloodshed. In 1975, we fled to Thailand to stay in a refugee camp. We were very poor. We were eating rice with water and salt. We couldn’t leave the camp. If we did, the Thai people would arrest us. My husband would have meetings in the camp with Thai leaders and they’d bring their wives. In between meetings, I would serve them. But we didn’t have the money to provide them with a proper meal. I hand-sewed traditional Hmong tapestries and started selling them to the wives. I saved the money I earned so that I could buy food to properly serve them. They loved me a lot. I became known as a Hmong tapestry specialist. There was a pastor from America named David who visited the camp. He loved me so much. He started ordering my tapestries. Then he asked me to recruit ten more women who could sew. Many wanted the work, but he only allowed me to hire women who couldn’t make ends meet and were suffering. I started taking his orders and assigning them to the women. I would give them the money for each cloth they’d sewn. I became a leader in the village by distributing the work and the money. In 1993, Thailand closed the camp and we were allowed to come to the United States. We could have resided in St. Paul or Brooklyn Park, but my husband chose Minneapolis. He always had a mission to do good deeds and he remained active in the community. We have a lot of friends here. We also have four daughters, six sons, and forty grandkids. My husband passed away in September. Having this garden makes me feel connected. It’s organic, I don’t fertilize it. It’s good exercise for me. I can have food to eat and my children can come pick from the garden and visit me, too. I’m so thankful and blessed. People say that when they die they will go to heaven. My heaven is here.” Manicha (via interpreter) ____________________________ In partnership with the City of Minneapolis Government, the #WeAreMplscampaign highlights resident’s individual stories to reflect Minneapolis’ diversity of experiences

trashgender-neurotica: snakegay: smokingalicorn: Battleforthenet.com If you like looking at this site plus many more for free, you need to stand up and make your voice heard before it is too late. why are tom and jerry aggressively guilt tripping me Hey OP maybe blame the government and corporations for shoving this clearly unwanted thing down our throats? Like it’s not our job to call the government every few days to tell them that they’re ruining our lives. They should just stop doing that. And if they do it anyway we should get angry AT THEM and not each other.

memecucker: If you think the CIA is omniscient just remember it took them a decade to piece together that there might be a connection between how double-agents working for them were suddenly dropping like flies and the fact that one of the CIA agents in charge of “protecting” double-agents suddenly showed up wearing designer clothes and driving a fucking Jaguar
